Transport of dejections
In the free-range farming of laying hens there are two main solutions for treating the dejections produced by the animals.
-The first is to leave the dejections produced by the animals inside the barn and, mainly, under the perches, for the entire period of the cycle.
-The second is to remove the dejections using a scraper, which slides inside pits made of concrete under the perches
This system enables an environment to be maintained with much better health and hygiene quality than the first solution.
A belt is placed at the end of these channels to collect the manure transported by the scraper and take it outside the farm, where it can be stored in suitable facilities or loaded directly onto a wagon.
